And just like that it’s almost time for another season of Junior Rugby at the Old Brodleians!

As ever we are keen to welcome everyone back, and as the summer draws to an end it’s always an exciting time as we face the prospect of the season ahead.

There are changes on the pitch with new tackle rules coming in this season, all focussed around ensuring the game is as safe as possible for our players, and our coaches are hard at work understanding and planning for this. There is also a World Cup to be enjoyed in only a few weeks’ time and we will be sharing more very soon on a busy events calendar.

Our club purpose and the “TREDS”
We want to be a great place to enjoy rugby and, both on and off the pitch, we want to hold ourselves to the highest possible standards.

Our aim is simply to be the club everyone wants to be a part of. Creating an inclusive and welcoming club and team environment is critical in ensuring a positive and lifelong rugby journey.

As society changes it presents us both challenges and opportunities to do things the right way and to ensure that everyone feels that Brods is the place where they want to participate in and enjoy rugby. During this journey we’ll continue to actively promote and endorse the values of the sport throughout. Those values are teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, sportsmanship (TREDS).
Play your part
There is always ways to support everything we’re trying to do at the club. Many of you may be doing already things and for that we're hugely grateful. For parents we hope you continue to support our coaches and team managers by sharing our ethos at home. If you like what you see at the club please tell other who may join us or bring their kids. If you see anything you'd don't like, please let us know so we can work on these things. For those on social media, please share and like our content around recruitment and club happenings.

If you want to be more involved with one of our teams simply talk to one of the team managers (…..they’ll be delighted you asked) or, if you want to be more involved in the wider club please don’t hesitate to have a chat with me – there’s a number of rewarding roles we’re looking to recruit in the coming weeks.

For now….. welcome back and here’s to a fantastic 2023/2024. Our best Brods season yet!
