Our Seniors
It's almost 100 years since our first senior team played their inaugural match. Today we field three Senior Men's teams and one Ladies Team.
We are recruiting at all levels and currently aspiring to have four Men's and two Ladies teams.
We also have Tag Rugby over the summer months and, coming soon is, Touch Rugby and Walking Rugby
Our Juniors
We're proud to have a team at every "age grade" in our Junior Section plus a vibrant Brods Tots section for 3, 4 and 5 year olds.
Head down to the club on a Sunday and you will be in no doubt over the importance of rugby to so many of our young players, and to the commitment of the club to support those players in their rugby journey.
For nearly fifty years, under the stewardship of countless committed and enthusiatic volunteers, we have built a junior section which we are rightly proud of, and which continues to be the steppingstone to senior rugby as well as representative county and national honours.
Age Grade Rugby
The RFU defines a junior as someone under 18 and the governing body organises the rules abd expectations of players according to age in an Age Grade structure that we follow. Girls and boys play together until they are 12 at which point the genders must separate and the girls join our ever expanding Girls Section that currently runs teams at U12s, U14s, U16s, and U18s.

Core values
Our core values mirror England Rugby's TREDS values:
- Teamwork
- Respect
- Enjoyment
- Discipline
- Sportsmanship
It's always easy to list or talk about values or culture but the challenge comes when having to live and breathe them.
TREDS is just the starting point for us. New players will come to know the importance and value of each element once they begin their rugby journey with us.
All our volunteers know that despite the efforts and time put into great coaching, washing kit, fundraising or maintaining our facilities; we're all about investing in people.
One of the All Blacks' mantras is "Better people make better All Blacks". We'll we're completely on board with that premise. Afterall, if it's good enough for one of the world's most successful sporting cultures - it's good enough for us!
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is of paramount importance to us - as it should be to all community sports clubs. We have a nominated Safeguarding officer, and a safeguarding policy in place, which you can read here, which outlines the key objectives and responsibilities. We also have a Coaching Coordinator who takes specific responsibility for driving the development, upskill and consistency of coaching across the club to ensure we can provide the best possible support and coaching for our players.
We love the game of rugby, and we are passionate about the Old Brodleians, and the role it plays in the lives of our players, parents and our community.
