Just a bunch of Brodleians

Our aim is simple. We aspire to be the club everyone wants to be a part of.

Some where there's a great welcoming atmosphere, a nuturing mindset, where people come to thrive, with the best facilities, accompanied by a bustling social calendar.

Core values

Our core values mirror England Rugby's TREDS values:

  • Teamwork
  • Respect
  • Enjoyment
  • Discipline
  • Sportsmanship

It's always easy to list or talk about values or culture but the challenge comes when having to live and breathe them.

TREDS is just the starting point for us. New players will come to know the importance and value of each element once they begin their rugby journey with us.

All our volunteers know that despite the efforts and time put into great coaching, washing kit, fundraising or maintaining our facilities; we're all about investing in people.

One of the All Blacks' mantras is "Better people make better All Blacks". Well we're completely on board with that premise. And afterall, if it's good enough for one of the world's most successful sporting cultures - it's good enough for us!

Playing it Safe

Safeguarding everyone at the club is of paramount importance to us - as it should be at all community sports clubs. Providing a safe environment at the club is essential for people of all ages, from players and volunteers to non-members and those visiting from other clubs.

We have a nominated Safeguarding Officier, and a Safeguarding Policy in place, which you can read here, which outlines our key objectives and responsibilities.

We also have a Coaching Coordinator who takes specific responsibility for driving the development, upskilling and consistency of coaches across the club to ensure we can provide the best possible support and coaching for our players.

We love the game of rugby, and we're passionate about the Old Brodleians club, and the role it plays in the lives of our players, parents and our community.
