Old Brodleians RUFC

On the 25th of September the Old Brodleians Ladies set off for their first match of the season, an away match against Sedgley Park.

After a long off season focusing on elements like set pieces, staying strong in defence, and coming together as a team, the hard work paid off and led to an 85-5 win to Old Brods Ladies.

From full length solo tries from kick off, to hot stepping on the wing, even a sister try from Gracie and Sarah. This game had it all and showed Brods Ladies playing like a well-oiled team.

Following the opening league fixtures this leaves Brods Ladies starting at the top of the league table.

Coach Nick Akerman said: "[i]I was incredibly pleased with the entire squad how well they worked together and supported each other. All the new players fitted into the team and played really well. It's given us a very good base to build on!"

Captain Ffion Jowett commented: "It was brilliant to be back out with the team today facing a lovely opposition. We saw everything we've been working on come together, and it brought us the win!"

The Brods Players of the Match was Katie 'Forest' Murray. The oppositions pick Player of the Match was Elena Rose Bunbury.
